You do not have to be a member to complete a questionnaire.

The Centre for Sport, Health and Exercise is responsible for the management of both the indoor and outdoor sporting facilities as well as organising an extensive recreation programme.
The Recreation Programme is divided into five areas:
The Health and Fitness Classes run every week and cater for all abilities. Classes include TRX, Spin & ABs, Boxing Fitness, Zumba, Stretch & Breathe Yoga, Chinese Kickboxing and many more. As many as 29 classes run every week during term time!
Instructional Courses usually run for between 2 to 6 weeks and are progressive classes which allow you to learn a new activity or improve on your current standard. Beginners classes in Pole Fitness, Trampolining, Squash, Tai Chi, Golf and Salsa are examples of the new activities you could try. You will probably never have a better opportunity to participate than during your time at University.
The Intra Mural leagues are one of the most popular competitions on Campus. The competitions are open to students and staff of all abilities. Leagues run for 8 weeks with the final week being the Grand Finals. Teams are guaranteed 2 matches every week! All you need to do is get a team together and make sure that you register early as these competitions are very popular. Competitions only run in the Autumn and Spring Terms.
Play Sport is an exciting programme which is designed for you just yo turn up and ‘Play Sport’! there is no membership, no leagues; all you have to do to join in is turn up each week and have fun! The sports include Futsal, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Uni Hockey and Ultimate Frisbee.
The Centre also organises Coaching qualifications for those who may be interested in coaching a specific sport. We have put together an intensive coaching programme which runs throughout the year to enable you to undertake a variety of awards which will help boost your CV.
This brand new fun competition sees mixed teams compete in 7 sports over 7 weeks for only £7 per team per week. Teams will be awarded points on a weekly basis in a league format and whichever team is top of the league after the final event on 5th December will be crowned CHAMPIONS!
If you want to play competitive sports the university plays every Wednesday in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) Competition. Our Men’s Badminton 1st team now play in the Premiership Division, the top division in the Country. We have over 26 teams playing regularly in the BUCS competition and have a ‘Focus Sports’ programme to help develop specific sports.
If you intend to use the Centre on a regular basis then it is advisable to join the Membership Scheme which will allow subsidised rates on all facilities and activities.
